⛈️ SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ⛈️

The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning through 8:45 PM CDT / 7:45 PM MDT.

At 7:40 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located about 6 miles southeast of Van Metre, or 15 miles north of Murdo, moving southeast at 15 MPH.

HAZARDS:

• Golf ball-size hail

• Wind gusts up to 60 MPH

Radar indicated.

This storm is expected to remain primarily over rural areas of southern Stanley County and northeastern Jones County, but anyone in or near the warned area should take precautions.

Hail can damage roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Strong winds may damage roofs, siding, and trees.

People and animals outdoors could be injured. If you are in the warned area, move indoors and stay away from windows until the storm passes.
