The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 7:00 PM CDT (6:00 PM MDT) for northwestern Stanley County, western Sully County, central Dewey County, and southwestern Potter County.
⛈️ A line of severe thunderstorms is moving northeast at 40 mph, capable of producing 70 mph wind gusts and small hail. These storms can cause considerable tree damage and damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Communities and recreation areas including Okobojo Point, Cow Creek, Ridgeview, Bush’s Landing, Tiospaye Topa School, Laplant, and Lake Oahe should prepare for dangerous weather.
If you are outdoors or on Lake Oahe, seek sturdy shelter immediately. Secure loose outdoor items, stay away from windows, and avoid travel until the storm passes.
