The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Stanley County until 6:45 PM CDT (5:45 PM MDT).
📍 At 5:45 PM CDT (4:41 PM MDT), a severe thunderstorm was located approximately 16 miles northwest of Sansarc and 21 miles south of Eagle Butte, moving southeast at 20 MPH.
⚠️ HAZARDS:
• Wind gusts up to 60 MPH
• Half-dollar-sized hail
🚗 IMPACTS: Hail may damage vehicles. Strong winds may damage roofs, siding, and trees.
The storm is expected to remain primarily over rural areas of Northwestern Stanley County.
Residents in the warned area should seek shelter indoors and stay away from windows.
